This one is easy - and thanks to Fred on IPCRC for posting the idea (I am pretty sure it was Fred - if not - thanks whoever!)

Simply have a key made with the cuts on ONE SIDE ONLY. Then, cut off the top part and epoxy it into a knob. Inserted in one direction it opens the lock. Turn it around and it doesn't open the lock. I leave mine in place unless I am in a bad area, then I just drop it in my pocket.

Considering that no one would steal a PC800 unless they found the ignition key in it. I doubt that bad areas are a danger to the bike.

Four strong guys with two steel pipes and a pickup can steal any bike, very quickly. But not having an ignition key will stop a quick grab and go...

The one-sided key will not work in the ignition. In fact, it only works in one direction in the gas door. I turn mine around so it won't move while riding.

There is no doubt that any good thief that wants your stuff will get it. That is why I like the fact that my bike is extra-ugly. :D

Just did this for my bike. My ignition key has a 3 inch extension on it so it will fit down through the handle bars as they have been raised. Last weekend while out in the middle of nowhere after a break I hopped on the bike and leaned forward over the tank door with the extended key in it. My fat gut bent it over. I straightened the key out while repeating the mantra, don't you break, don't you break on me.

I couldn't find a fancy knob like the Rat, so I used the cap off of a quart oil bottle and some JB Kwik weld. Worked great. Thanks for the tip! I really should get a spare now and hide it somewhere on the bike.

Yeah, I know. Didn't even feel it happen. Wish I could blame it on my WWE championship belt, but I left it at home that day! :D

I know a few of the wrestlers make their entrance on Harleys, I'm not sure how intimidating you'll be on the PC, but I'll still cheer for ya.

Captain PC Tooner - Can you hear what the Tooner is revving up?
