Bought a '98 Helix this year. It was pretty cheap and needed minimal body work. Does a little over 70mph and gets 60-70mpg.

I have to admit that I have been neglecting PAC*RAT since I bought it. It is SUCH A BLAST!

(I added the stripes to the nose, to cover a few cracks I repaired with Plastex.)

I have two PC800's....a 1990 in Minnesota for the summer and a 1998 that I ride in Arizona in the winters. Both have been trouble-free so far and I love the way that they ride.

Hi StrayDog,

I like your bike and am wondering if it's an older GoldWing or maybe even a Silverwing? I had a GL500 Silverwing that I rode around Arizona every winter for 13 years. Then, I bought my first PC800 to ride in Minnesota in the summers about four years ago. That quickly led to another one for AZ. that same year and I still can't get over how nice that they ride! I still really like the looks of those older GoldWings and Sivlerwings though.

I seem to remember those are unique motors that are really bulletproof. They sure look nice.

Hey Oldone: What program did you use to create that PC Colloge whats is framed in real nice and purty?

I use to have a real simple program to do that kinda stuff (emphasize "simple").......
If it gets complicated I tend to... well..uh...."Stray"!

I have driven one of Stray's SilverWings. IT's very smooth. The bar angle is wierd for me but the transmission and ride is cumfy, smooth, and quiet. Zooming around the block on his made me think " yup, I could give up the chain..."

I just sold this .... sorta.. he hasn't gotten over to pick it up yet.

LOVED it, but not as practical for me ( TRUNK ! ) for work ride and not as cool for 2-up as my PC.

I shall miss it.

Yes, I had the decal made (Stray's friend) after I had the tank re-painted.

That is a 1999 750 Honda NIghtHawk with a rifle sport fairing and fieldshere bags.

Sorry that I haven't answered or commented lately but my computer has been very sick and I've been trying to nurse it back to good health. I finally made some progress with it last night.

Those Silverwings are a dream and like I said earlier, I had one for 13 yrs. or so. I liked lots of things about it but always thought there should be another gear. There was really no comparison to the way it rode at 65 mph to the way my two PC800's ride.

Gary "Oldone" Note: StrayDog.....I just PM'd you.
