Been lookin to see what is out there in the way of new machines these days....

First thing I've noticed is that there no longer seems to be a "Sport Touring" catagory!
I've always thought the PC was "Sport Touring" Machine.
Kawasaki has a "Supersport Touring" catagory.....

The only thing that Honda has that looks interesting to me is the NT700.
I don't like the CTX.

The reviews of the past Kawasaki Concours look real good to me.
The 2013 Concourse looks like the "Bat Bike" - I think it may grow on me.

I do not want an Auto Transmission. I'm sure they have their place but not for me.

The Suzuki GS & VStrom looks nice - but I really don't want a chain drive....

Oh well - guess I'll stay with the ol PC!

Whatta you think?

Yuppies can now feel trashy too.
500 miles? Nah, 75 miles is good enough.

Now if I could only make it leak oil.......

I think that new sleeker-Goldwing is kinda cool.... not sure I'd like it better than the regular wing but it does have a nice look.

The Honda ST1300 is still available.
Don't get me wrong, I love my PC. But the longer I own it, the more limited I find it to be.
I have been eyeballing used st1100, and st1300, but I have never owned a new bike.
So when funding becomes available I will look hard at the ST1300, and if it's not available, then I will probably look to BMW.

On the other hand I may go the opposite direction and head towards the new Indian.
I did stop and look at the new honda ctx1300. To me it's an eyesore, the so-called fairing is hideous.
As for the Goldwing F6B same thing, now I believe that there is a taller windshield available this one, so it could be in the running.

Yeah - That "Available Funding" is what stops me! Don't get me wrong - If I was in different financial situation I'd get whatever I wanted. But where I (and probably most of us on this board) am (are?) - The cost difference is HUGE. I probably have about $5K in all my riding stuff including the bike. (Helmet, Clothing, Luggage, Stator, Head Bearings, Guages, Lights & Lord knows how many sets of tires!).

I think I gave $2.6K for my 89...... But to those who can afford it I say go for it - More power to ya!

There are very few new bikes out there today that really appeal to me. But of course I realize that if I ever test ride a new BMW/Ducati/Moto Guzzi that's computer controlled and fuel injected and all that stuff I will be ruined! Those I have talked to who have "upgraded" say the difference is amazing. Maybe someday........... sigh....
